Description:  The Interstate 295 interchange with Interstate 95 North is currently under construction. One lane will be added in each direction to I-295/SR 9A from I-95 to US 17. I-295 west of I-95 will be designed to accommodate one additional lane in each direction in the future. Design and construction will occur in phases. Phase 1 is a flyover ramp that connects southbound I-95 traffic to southbound SR 9A.

This precast concrete segmental bridge utilizes GTI Precast Segmental Duct Couplers™ at all segment joints. GTI Round Plastic Duct® and GTI Flat Plastic Duct® are used for all internal post-tensioning tendons.

Florida Department of Transportation is on the leading edge of protecting their structures from corrosive attack. For all FDOT Bridges, they specify plastic post-tensioning duct throughout and segmental duct couplers at all segement joints. GTI worked closely with Superior, DSI and FDOT to provide a reliable, user-friendly segmental duct coupler. The contractor's work force claims that by using the GTI Precast Segmental Duct Couplers™ they were more productive and faster than if no couplers were used.
