| Description: The new 12-lane bridge includes 4 side-by-side, double leaf bascule spans, each with a 82m center-to-center spacing and an overall bridge width of 76m. The bascule span is supported on delta-shaped concrete bascule piers providing a 53m horizontal channel for navigation. Open position affords unrestricted vertical clearance within designated channel and a 21m minimum vertical clearance, span closed, for navigation. GTI Round Plastic Duct® was used to increase the long-term durability of the post-tensioning in the concrete elements. |
